THE BELOVED BANKER
The banker of Gossamer was much beloved by the citizens. He had been banker for some time and accumulated much wealth.
One day he looked at all the wealth in his bank and decided that he could use all of that mone to make people happy. i.e.Spread the wealth so to speak.He had much borrying power and decided to borrow as much money as he could so as to make more people
happy. So he did all of that. He gave money to his wife and to her parents. He gave more money to his parents. He bought furs, artwork, jewelry, cars and homes. He was delerious with happiness. He knew that the people loved him and would be happy if he were happy. Some people became concerned at all of this borrowing and spending. They begin to grumble. A few hundred thousand people even had tea parties. Others said, "Leave him alone. He knows what he is doing. He is like God. We want him to be happy.
If you leave him alone we will all have more money than before. We'll be rich and happy."
This went on for about four years.
